Frequently asked questions

Is St Barts part of France or the EU, and which rules apply to my business?
Saint Barthélemy is a French overseas collectivity, but it has been outside the EU since 2012. French law, including the Data Protection Act, applies on the island. EU rules such as the GDPR can still apply when you offer your services to people in the Union.
Does St Barts have VAT, and will your invoice include it?
No VAT appears on our invoices, because the island is outside the scope of French VAT. Beyond that, we do not give tax advice: please check the rest with your accountant.
Can we do everything in English?
