Meta's rules since 15 January 2026
When WhatsApp Business is connected to software, general-purpose AI assistants are no longer allowed on the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Message fees for Cameroon numbers
Since July 2025, Meta has charged for some messages individually, according to the message type and the customer's country code. Cameroon numbers fall under Meta's “Rest of Africa” rates. We estimate this cost with you first; you then pay exactly what Meta charges.
Promotions need consent
Cameroon's 2024 data law makes consent the rule. Send offers only to customers who have agreed to receive them.
